We took a road trip down to LA last weekend to celebrate Jared's younger brother's surprise birthday party. The car ride there was a total success.
I packed a prize an hour and it really distracted Quinn and kept her happy for the 7 hr trip.

We were super impressed with Grey too. She is not the best car rider but we planned it right and left after she had been up for a couple of hours and she slept great stretches while we drove. At our stop she nursed and we kept her entertained before putting her back in her car seat for another stretch of sleep. It went better than we could have hoped for.
We met up with Aunt Kathy that evening for dinner and Jared met up with friends for a beer.
Friday night though was a rough night. Quinn was restless, tossing and turning and it woke me up. I could hear her breathing fast and thought she may have a fever. I was right. 102.5 with green goobers in her eyes. It was a long night of her feeling pretty crummy. I think we were bathing her around 5 am because she was just so upset.
Two trips to CVS in the morning by Jared and we figured she was squared away so I kept our plans to meet up with my college roommate Sarah and my sister.
Jared stayed back at the hotel with Quinn. Us girls had a great brunch catching up. It was just what this mama needed.
The party was a success that evening. Alec was thrilled to see so many people in town for his special day. The girls were a hit and loved spending time with family.
